Using Adobe Premiere To Make The Horror Trailer

Out of IMovie, final cut and adobe premiere 6, my group and I have decided to go with Adobe Premiere. The reason Premiere seemed like the better choice was because we had more experience using that software. In AS when we created music videos, my group used Adobe Premiere to edit the footage. At first we started editing in final cut but final cut couldn't save the footage and we lost all our work so we had to start again in Adobe Premiere. I don't want a repeat of what happened in AS to happen in A2 as there's deadlines to meet and such little time to film and edit in. I would rather use a program that I know more about as it will be easier to edit and we won't require much help. Also on Adobe Premiere it's easier to import and export the footage rather than on final cut. Exporting the trailer will be the hardest part as it will be a large file but it's easier to upload on YouTube as it's simply one button.

In all my media work I have used adobe premiere 6. As there is such little time to edit, I don't want to waste a lot of time asking for help from teachers or looking up tutorials every second on YouTube to get by. The time spent doing that could be time spent actually editing the footage so by using Premiere we are saving time and my group and I are all more experienced in this program than all the others.
I also like how the videos come out on Premiere, they look professional and are easy to watch for an audience. Adding titles and effects on the video are easy on Premiere as well as there's not many steps you have to do in order to get them. There are lots of good effects that can be used on the videos to make them look better. My group and I want to add sound effects used in other horror movies just to make it more scary and have the genre evident and this will be easy in this software. Also when I was doing my research into audiences fears, I created the video in Adobe Premiere and I feel confident with using this software.

I recorded my explanation of why we chose adobe premiere to edit our footage on. I used soundcloud as it was the easiest for me and easy to upload to my blog. Although I recorded it, I've still typed up what I have said cause I realised I talk really fast and some words may be hard to understand.
